Welcome to the Chief Scout's Award Information Site

This site has been established as a resource for all the Scouts of Canada who desire to:
-progress through the program,
-learn more about the various badge requirements, and
-earn their Chief Scout's Award.

As well, Scout section leaders will find resources to help them to help their youth.  If you have any resources that you have developed or found, such as documents, games, handouts, links to other sites, etc., please share them.  I am especially interested in developing a database of program ideas for the projects that youth have done to meet Requirement 6 of the Chief Scout's Award.

This site is not sponsored or supported by Scouts Canada.  All opinions are my own.  Any comments you might have are appreciated.  Please use the Feedback page or send an e-mail directly to: scoutleader101 at chiefscout.info

Scouts of the World Award

Scouts Canada, in conjunction with the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), has announced the creation of the Scouts of the World Award.  This is a tremendous opportunity for youth in the senior sections to really get involved in the world around them.  The award "has been launched in order to encourage a stronger involvement of young people in the development of society by making them more aware of present world issues."

The first step should be to visit the Scouts Canada web site or the WOSM site to learn more.  Ready to proceed?  Download the required Passport and get started.  Each Council across the country will determine who needs to sign the Passprt.

New Emergency Preparedness badge

This is the new Emergency Preparedness badge for Scouts.  It will be available beginning in the fall.  There is also a version for Cubs.

Resource Updates 05/2008

Background information on the possible new Spirituality Award is available from Other Resources - Scouts Canada Documents.
